Introduction

This paper unfolds the political issues faced by America at federal and local level. A true knowledge of such issues would have a desired affect over the political thinking of general people.
The Political issues faced by America include Drones, NSA, second amendment issue, Voter Id laws, ISIS, unemployment and Agenda 21. Voter ID laws, for instance, have been a subject of debate in different political sections of US. Some states require from a voter to show any photo identity document (Driving license, ID card, or Military card) while other states accept even those documents which don't have a photo. Apart from this, Agenda 21 is one of the political issues, which are being thoroughly discussed within different states of the country. It is an action plan by United Nations, which is voluntary and non-binding in nature. It was crafted during Earth Summit, which was held in Rio de Janeiro and issued with a view to overcoming problems such as poverty, management of resources and education. These and other similar political issues have a drastic affect on overall working of the state machinery. The issues are not limited to the above-mentioned list. In fact, the list is very exhaustive. Labor issues, unemployment, wages, labor unions, taxes, macroeconomic issues, debt ceiling, regulations , financial regulations and most recently the most challenging political issue for the government of US is ‘fiscal cliff’. The prevailing debt issues in the country have recalled again and again the problem and threat of a fiscal cliff.

Conclusion

It is hereby concluded that Political issues should be settled at an earliest possible time in order to gain political stability and progress. These problems should be the most concerned matters as far as the socio-political structure of a state is concerned.
