The website ‘The Committee for Skeptical Inquiry’ is selected to identify the application of pseudoscience. The website primary claims “to promote scientific inquiry and critical investigation by the use of reason in examining controversial and extraordinary claims”. One of the most highlights slogan on the website is ‘Deniers are not Skeptics’. In other words, it can be explained looking at the website that it tries to sell its magazine that would promote healthier scientific research approach among individual by sharing controversial issues. In other words, it can be noted that the website make use of Falsifiability that would develop critically approach.
The website does not associate with the legitimate science, as the ideas that are presented in the website are different from the claims presented in the science that gives an impression that magazine would allow individual to look into the scientific issues in a broader manner that associates to legitimate science.
The slogan of the website ‘Deniers are not Skeptics’ reflects that the author has made use of anecdotal data to support the claim to sell its magazine.
However, there is no indicating in the website of pseudoscience tendency to disproof. Perhaps, the claims presented in the article describe in detail about the complex issues that will be present in the magazine and will allow individual to understand scientific concerns in a broader aspect.
I believe that the different issues and controversial issues presented in the website arouse scientific skepticism. It develops questions with respect to the ability that is claimed by the individual about the nature of the world (CSI, 2014).
