Web design – is a process of production of websites, which includes technical development, structuring of information, visual (graphic) design and delivery over the network (“Web Design”).
Web designer – is a specialist in the field of computer technology, who is responsible for how a website looks like and is perceived. A web designer creates logos, banners and other graphical elements, he thinks about Website navigation, determines where to place a text. Designer has not only to create an interesting Website, but he also has to take into account the time during which a Web page of a Website is downloaded. He works closely with marketers and brand managers that allows him to create an effective Website. The main activity of the web-designer is the style, visual and program organization of information in electronic format, logical and nice design information, graphical display it on the Internet pages.
Web designer – is the one who independently carries out the launch of a Website and performs all the steps of creating a Website on his own. It should be understood that a Web designer can delegate to any third party some duties at certain stages, but he controls the entire process. A successful Web designer should be an expert with brilliant knowledge of Web processes and understand all aspects of web design.
With this reason in view, I find it necessary to get during the course basic knowledge about the elements and principles of web design, fonts and color theory. I will pay a special attention to a concept of a Website, its structure and principles of the existence of the Internet. Moreover, I will do my best to get basic ideas of HTML5 and CSS3. I learned that these spheres are rather important for a Website creating. This will help me to avoid mistakes at the stage of creating a Website design.
I know that for a web-designer such character qualities as creativity, aesthetic taste, artistic feelings, sociability, self-discipline, commitment to professional self-improvement, self-reliance, diligence and perseverance are needed.
