I am humbled by your positive feedback on my efforts to make our company more popular on Facebook. I am trying my best to make sure that we as a company utilize the social media platform optimally so as to offer best services to our current and potential clients. Owing to the current market trends in marketing, social media is turning out to be the most efficient and cost effective way of reaching many clients (Smith, 2010).I would therefore recommend that we invest more on the use of social media to build a large customer base to our company. With regard to this, I would like to recommend that in addition to Facebook which we are already using, we start adopting the use of Twitter and YouTube too to further enhance our communications with our current esteemed clients as well as attract others to join our network. As you are already aware, social media and more so Facebook, twitter and YouTube are becoming important components in marketing and has been described as some of the most successful ways to connect with clients (Salcido, 2012).
The two (twitter & YouTube) will help us as a consulting company in financial services provision to communicate much easier and faster with our clients either as individuals or groups in that we will be able to interact easily through the tweets and YouTube uploads we make, with a single tweet, we can send information to many people quickly on the kind of services we offer. It will enable our company reach a wide range of our clients, YouTube alone according to Forbes is estimated to receive more than 1 billion users monthly (Klima, 2014) while twitter has approximately more than 982 million registered users (Edwards, 2014).This clearly shows that our company can take advantage of this two social media flat forms to reach many clients at a lower cost.
Social media platforms can be accessed globally thus; they will give our company an opportunity to expand its services across borders to other countries. The use of the two can even lead to opening up new markets and the need to establish our new branches in countries that we will consider to be interested in our services by evaluating the feedbacks we will get from the two social media platforms. It is also important to note that twitter and YouTube are very easy to use; they do not need any training, because they basically need only an electronic device e.g. computer or mobile phone and an internet connection. Therefore our company will not incur any extra costs because we already have computers and reliable internet connection. Our clients and also potential clients can access our social sites using their own mobile phones from any part of the world.
Banking sector have already adopted the use of social media for its communications. For example social banking is gaining more popularity, with twitter being considered a major platform for communication in banking industry (Marous, 2014). Apart from banks using social media for marketing purposes, clients also use the information they get from social media platforms to determine the bank’s products or services that best suits their needs. The banks have now realized the need of providing this information on social media sites so as to meet the demand from their potential customers and increase their customer base. Our company also being a financial service provider should move quickly to adopt and use this social media platform effectively to provide our services to our clients so that we do not lose them to other companies in this industry.
