Hypothetical Information on Epcot Theme Park

Analysis of the Products and Services Offered at Epcot Theme Park
People go to amusement and theme parks for one main reason to be amused and entertained. Theme parks meet this specific expectation by offering different rides and attractions. Additionally, theme parks belong to the larger umbrella of the travel and tourism industry . This is the part where the Epcot Theme Park focused on. Within the theme park, there are flat rides, roller coasters, train rides, water rides, dark rides, transport rides, and the ever-famous Ferris Wheels.
The flat rides include the following: chair swing, twister ride, and top spin, swinging and inverting ship, among others. The purpose of the flat ride is to entice customers who are not into the more challenging and horrifying roller coaster rides. The theme park’s roller coasters feature a specialized railroad system that would drive the riders into steep drops, sharp curves, loops—both upside down and vertical, and other challenging stunts. Because the theme park planners expect that a lot of kids would be visiting the park especially during the high season, it has developed unique train rides designed for that population. Some of the train parks that the Epcot Theme Park offers include the trolley train parks and the Kenny wood train parks. These train parks are intended for kinds and may therefore appear boring for visitors belong to older age groups.
Water rides will be one of the most popular attractions in Epcot Theme Park because it constitutes about a quarter of the total allotted space for the rides. The main ride featured under this category is the wild river boat ride. It is basically a ride where the visitors will be divided in groups and will embark in a circular, rubberized, boat. That boat will then traverse the water park which is filled with wild river-like currents, mimicking the experience of being in a wild river boat ride. Other rides under this category include the log ride, bumper boats, among others. In pretty much all of the water rides, visitors are expected to get wet and so they are advised to ensure that all their gadgets are secured and that they brought an additional pair of clothes so that they can change after trying all the park’s water rides. One good thing about the water rides is that they are designated for people of all ages and they generate huge visitor traffic especially during the hot days of summer.
Also featured in Epcot Theme Park’s list of rides and amusements are dark rides. Basically, these are rides where visitors travel in an enclosed segment of the park via a guided vehicle that follows a predetermined direction. As the visitors travel via that vessel, they get to see a presentation of illuminated scenes, animations, music and sound effects, lighting effects, and other special effects. This is a relatively new category of rides that only a few theme parks have as of the moment.
And finally, the ever popular Ferris Wheel, which is the most common type of theme and amusement park ride in the U.S. .Every four years, the Epcot Theme Park updates its lineup of rides in order to keep up with the changing demands, preferences, and expectations of its visitors. This is also to ensure that the list of parks featured get updated according to the changing trends and to ensure that all equipment and hardware in the park are not just working properly but are safe to be used by the visitors and the park’s technicians. For a relatively new amusement park like Epcot Theme Park, having a clean record when it comes to visitor satisfaction and safety is highly important.
When it comes to motifs and themes, most theme parks follow a single or multiple ones . In the case of Epcot Theme Park, its motif and theme settings are set to be dynamic. This means that they are bound to change from time to time as the trends in this segment of the tourism and travel industry change. After all, this is one of the greatest responsibilities of theme parks—to stay abreast of the changes in the industry and have the necessary funds and resources to adapt to those changes .
