The development of information technology in the last decade and its rapid penetration into various spheres of life affect the development of the personality of the modern children; the technology greatly expands educational opportunities, a system of communication, entertainment. (Michael Cohen Group LLC, 2007) But along with the positive influence of information technology, the negative impact also exists. According to doctors, the degradation of the ‘computer generation’ is connected with the spread of the various gadgets and organizers on the Internet, where all the information can be completely entered by a child. Children lose the habit of training the memory, because the ‘external memory’ is always at hand. And children lose their ability to adequately assess what information is really needed and what one is unnecessary, because of the virtually unlimited quantity of such devices Internet and computer games can inspire a child that he will desire spend more time at the computer, it reduces his motor activity; the real world is replaced by the virtual one, where he feels omnipotent. (SFGate) The presence of a computer in any, even poor apartment, is nothing new. The rapid development of computer technology and the Internet has led to the fact that such a handy thing can practically replace any pleasure and needs of a person. A large number of different games and social networks leads to the fact that a child becomes a psychological dependent on the created virtual world, the child begins to live his real life in the ‘other’ world where everything is subject to his personal laws and regulations. As practice shows, at using gadgets children spend most of their time online, namely they communicate with many internet-familiar in social networking sites. (Healy, et. al, 2007)
Also, today's children adore the new electronic gadgets. This is especially concerned children who use iPhones or iPads. On the one hand this is good, because they are learning handling with modern technology, but on the other hand, such enthusiasm can badly affect their social life. It all depends on the dosage, and if the child begin to spend too much time at his gadget, instead of learning, communication with family or friends, then it is important not to neglect a situation. Risk group mostly includes children from 11 to 18 years, because the nervous system is still too unstable, unsteady and it is easily influenced in this period. (Formby 2014)
Thus, information technology in a rapidly changing world is becoming an increasingly important factor of the existence and development of children and adolescents, when relationship with the social environment only begins. Modern information technology has transformed the structure of their leisure time, especially with respect to boys and girls of 12-13 years, as at this age children are more captivated by computer games than in older age. The organism of a child is particularly vulnerable, and uncontrolled time spent at the computer, overload by bright visual information and high emotional involvement of the child into the game lead to overstimulation of the nervous system, causing damage to an absolute physical and mental health of the developing individual. And as a result there are fatigue in intellectual activity, impaired ability to perceive information and loss of interest to real life. (Shields, et. al, 2000)
