In the Allegory, the freed prisoner is blinded when he leaves the cage and again when he returns to it. This both situations can be explained in this way: when a prisoner was held in the cave for years he have seen shadows and heard only the voices that were coming from those shadows. Prisoner doesn’t understand, what does those shadows represent or what kind of object or animal do make the sound. When he leaves the cave, he begin to see, what real life is and real objects are, he will realize this only when time flows. Once he return back to cave again, and held there his ideas and thoughts which were representing the world is going to disappear after some time. He will be blinded by the cave darkness

Cave-dwellers had the same reaction to the freed prisoner, as they always did. They couldn’t see him, but only his shadow, that were bumbling something. The cave echo didn’t allow those words to pass by, echo spoiled every word that came out of cave-dwellers mouth. Cave-dweller was just as usual shadow that passed every day.

When Plato describes his dualism, he states that to achieve something, you have to put a lot in it. You need to do your best to obtain it. That’s why his perfect world would consist only a philosophers. Knowledge requires labor – the incessant efforts, which are aimed to study and understand a variety of objects. Plato condemns that sensible world is like a prison of our soul. The only world is the world of eternal ideas.
