The Cask of Amontillado is 1846 short story authored by Edgar Allan Poe. The setting of the story is in an unknown city on a person taking revenge on the pretext he has insulted him. The narrator called is Montresor is the offended person, and he seeks revenge from Fortunato, his friend. He plans to carry out his activity without endangering himself. The narrator has patiently withstood a thousand injuries for the opportune time to deliver a perfect payback. Montresor waits for the time of supreme madness during the carnival season at such a time Fortunato is half-drunk. He approaches his friend while he conceals his face using a black mask. He tells him that he has obtained good wine better than that of Amontillado and needed a wine taster to verify it. Montresor leads Fortunato to their family catacombs where he chains him using iron staples and later buries him alive. The narrator maintains the crime as a secret for than fifty years only to confess it to a priest before dying.
Those that have sex without love see it as a passionate moment between people. To them love, and sex is not mutually exclusive. Having sex does imply you love the partner, it means you love the act and you. Love and sex are some of the controversial topics. From a religious perspective the author, Sharon Olds does not advocate sex without love. The author poses, “How do they do it, the ones that make love without love”? Olds presents sex without love as an empty experience with no bond or empathy. An independent hero is one that has sexual relations without psychological, cultural, or religious dependence. Real love is loyal to ensure that it does not hurt anyone. Some people enjoy sex without feelings in an envious way. It is a choice for everyone to decide their bliss; most people opt for sex without love while few opt for sex with love because it is hard.
