The Salvation Army Benefit Concert - Making Change Together
The Salvation Army Fundraising Concert is your opportunity to lend a willing hand to the needy.
The Astronomical Events International is organizing the fundraising concert for the purpose of benefiting the Salvation Army Organization, scheduled for May, 30 at Chicago City center. Moreover, the Beets will be the concert headliners.
The Salvation Army is seeking donations of food, furniture, clothes, personal care items and material contributions.
"The Salvation Army has been helping people all over the world for the past 150 years. All this time our objective was to help people in need, assist people of advanced years, support homeless and relieve their distress", said Commissioner David Jeffrey, National Commander of the Salvation Army. "In order to achieve our objective we often have benefit concerts or other events. And this time it will take place in Chicago. We encourage citizens of Chicago to take part in the event and become a part of an amazing process, called charity. Remember, that only together we can change this world."
"On behalf of all citizens of Chicago, I would like to say that we are very proud and thankful to host such an honorable event for the first time", said Rahm Emanuel, the Mayor of the city. "I have confident expectations that the concert will become a memorable event for the citizens and, at the same time, help the Organization raise funds for their good purposes".
The Beets will be the headliners of the fundraising concert and the band singers are very joyful to participate in the concert. "It is hard to explain my feeling of pride and excitement about headlining this amazing event", said Monroe Yoder, lead guitarist and singer for the British rock band. "I call on all the citizens of Chicago to support the event and make contributions to the Salvation Army."
