Critical Thinking

Introduction

The judgment and decisions that are based on the rationalized notions indicates the tendency of critical thinking which is eventually the process of thinking which consists on the principled and disciplined process of thinking in order to approach the bottom-line of any idea or real life situation. According to Fisher (2011), critical thinking is based on the concepts that one adheres to accept or attempt to utilize practically with the observable analysis that further incorporates the evidences for the validity of the applied concepts. Critical thinking enables an individual to apply systematic techniques in order to analyze the proposed notion which ultimately provides the results that are supported evidently and possess strong grounds for their justification. The constructs or the supporting variables help the individual to understand the question and identify the problem and thus, the systematic direction to the individual is provided to analyze the problem and consider its consequences.

Critical thinking has been providing the strong elementary source to the students in their educational field because the ability of students to think about the taught notions makes them to rethink the notions critically which enhances their knowledge and effectively engage their minds in the studies and thus, their academic achievements become reachable due to their increased understanding about their taught concepts and healthy development and utilization of mind (Fisher, 2011). Therefore, the groundwork of memorizing concepts become efficient with the practice of critical thinking and it has helped me to increase my understanding level by utilizing the learnt concepts in my life with the approach of critical thinking.
The effective role of critical thinking is also found in the practical life in which the effective practice and utilization of critical thinking provides the judgmental edge to individuals at workplace (Ruggiero, 2011). In this way, the professional life at workplace emphasizes on the employees’ ability to problem solving which may incorporate client related problems and inter-department problems. Therefore, the critical thinking practice has provided me with the ability to analyze the situation in a systematic manner and overcome biasness so that effective solutions can be provided to eradicate the problematic circumstances. The employees who prove them to be productive in this manner by utilizing their thinking skills tend to be successful and are considered as important figures at their workplace. An example from my professional life comprehends that my client was promised for delivery in 2 hours but due to some internal reasons the delivery was not made, and the employee can critically analyze the antecedents that delayed the delivery process and can also analyze the client’s behavior in order communicate effectively in such way that the client remains satisfied with the services so that the business can be restrained from any potential business loss.
The discussed examples have indicated the effective role of critical thinking in student and professional life however, the similar practice is also found to be effective in social life in which the individuals can provide persuasive reasoning by using the critical thinking techniques in such a way that their persuasive reasons provide them their desired objectives by avoiding any disturbances in their social relations. For example, the individual is invited for a social get together and the individual does not want to be the part of it so the critical thinking can provide the individual with such persuasive reasons that can make him avoid the get together without any negative effects on his social figure. Therefore, the course of critical thinking can provide the individual with the ability to assess the current situation and circumstance in such a way that the direction for the solution is developed for the optimum results.

Individual’s Process of Critical Thinking

The thinking process that is being implied in my life begins from the acquisition of the given situation in which the problem or the notion is identified which is needed to be evaluated and then the information with respect to the recognized problem is gathered in order to identify its antecedents. The information that is drawn from the various sources is utilized to draw the conclusions in order to summarize the consequences of the identified situation. At last, the action plan is developed on the basis of conclusion in order to achieve the desired state so that the optimum result for the situation can be achieved.

Personal and Religious Beliefs

The issues that incorporate the emotions that are based on the religious beliefs can be modified in such ways that the emotional and religious beliefs can be detached from these issues and the critical thinking practice is the proven practice that helps the individuals to eliminate the biasness that generates due to the emotional and religious beliefs (Ruggiero, 2011).
The utilization of critical thinking is found to be highly effective in my professional and personal life and the systematic approach of critical thinking has provided me with the ability to understand my subject matters in a better way in my educational field. Moreover, the critical thinking practice is also a professional way for me to enhance my performance at my workplace with the rationalized observation of antecedents and consequences for the better decision making process. Moreover, my social life is also benefited from the critical thinking process and is proven to strengthen the social relationships with the persuasive and effective action plans (Moore et al. 2011).
