Free White Flight Research Paper Sample

Abstract

The article sheds light to the term White flight, a word that was commonly used in the United States to define the large-scale migration of the whites with European origin. This migration involved moving from the urban region to the exurban region as a result of the increased anti-white policies and level of crime in the areas. In 1950s and 1960s, the middle-class white population migrated to the rural areas such as Detroit, Cleveland, and Oakland region which was transformed into the ancient Roman. Although, Spaniards were few in number, they were in a better chance to occupy a vast territory with numerous people. Their ability to conquer the vast regions of America was enhanced by factors such as education, military skills, navel technology, ability to form alliances easily, and the European Diseases. The ideology of occupying the vast regions of America was enhanced by the initial visit to the West Indies by Columbus. The conquest was aimed at taming and settling on the land, which was the main idea of moving into the region. In addition, the conquest was applied as a pre-requisite for changing the natives. In this migration, the travelers were accompanied by the missionaries during exploration to help them conquered the region. However, the White Flight migration to the other lands was associated with various implications. The migration of the middle class benefited the natives through urbanization, developments, culture integration, and job creation. Social development and infrastructure projects were experienced in the Diaspora and to the regions backed by remittances. In addition, the migrant population residing abroad contributed to the decrease of the migration costs to the new migrants. However, on the negative side, the distance between the migrants and their family in their home land fostered stress.
