Headline: Google’s Gmail service blocked in China

This story is a global issue because Google is currently the most widely used search engine all over the world. By blocking its email services and the search engine, it becomes an alarming issue because it stops the access that millions of people have over it and it also creates concern over whether a country with so many users would actually defy the use of the world’s largest service and consider using its own.
It relates to design by using the technique and ways of one of the world’s giants in networking technology into creating a similar market of the technology in order to expand its own market and make it popular first locally and then expand it globally. The technique that China had was in a way first to enable its users to turn to the domestic market for obtaining information on the internet and then it claimed to know nothing about it, however, the issue remained at its own side that explained the motive behind blocking and coming up with domestic rivaled Google searches and email services.
It does relate to the discipline of politics and political issues, where a government does not follow the trends that the rest of the world has openly accepted and by blocking services, means it challenges that it is not responsible for the interrupted service. It also means to watch over its citizens by blocking Google where the citizens wish for more privacy.
