Explain a Character - Paul Walker
The masculine and brutish forcefulness of The Fast & Furious films is not unfamiliar. The films targeted directly the middle-of-the-road young men and appealed to the younger generations. The implausible plotlines and implausible plotlines of the films are the common topics of discussions. Still, the Fast & Furious films remain the most profitable franchise. Despite the sad demise of Paul Walker, one of the main stars of the movies, Universal Studios has signaled that they plan to continue the series (Whitfield).
Paul Walker was born in California and carries English and German ancestry. He was active in sports like soccer and surfing. He graduated in 1991 and began modeling. Later he decided to try his luck with acting after returning from College. Later, because of the fighting scenes he had to do in movies, he developed a passion for martial arts. He studies different martial arts such as Jeet Kune Do, Jujitsu, Taekwondo, and Eskrima. He loved relaxing at home with his daughter, just driving or walking his dogs. He loved to travel whenever he got a break from the films.
His work Walker was an American actor and began his career with television shows. Gradually he gained prominence and was recognized for his work. He earned international fame because of his role in the street racing action film, The Fast & Furious, and was there in five of its six sequels. With the teen hits, his status continued rise to celebrity. He looked both sexy and serious and certainly stood apart from the rest of the crowd because of his talent and attitude both. His stardom to an even higher level with the success of The Fast and the Furious.
Charity work
Apart from films, Walker starred in the National Geographic Channel series and also founded the Reach Out Worldwide charity that offers help for areas affected by natural disasters. Following the shattering earthquake in Haiti, Walker founded REACH OUT Worldwide so as to help those who were affected by natural disasters. He dedicated himself to help those ruined by natural disasters across the world. He was seen working in fields in Haiti and Chile or plowing money into the tornado-struck Philippines.
His Personality
Behind the cool and quiet exterior of Paul, lay a great emotional depth, high sensitivity, and a fierce determination. He was a self-motivated man and was strong-willed and proud. If he wanted anything, he would go after it wholeheartedly and usually got what he wanted. He lived his life passionately and not superficially. He never shirked challenges and lived his life at full capacity. He was known to carry strong, gut reactions and approached life very instinctively. He carried a nonverbal rapport and strong affinity with animals.
He took time to trust people and was wary of new relationships. If he committed himself, he did so with complete intensity and loyalty. In return, he also expected the same kind of unwavering loyalty. For him, relationships had to be hundred percent, and nothing was done halfway. He was capable of hating with the same intensity if betrayed by someone he cares deeply for. Thus, one finds a streak of emotional fanaticism in him.
Paul Walker was seen as something of an enigma because of his natural reserve. The opposite sex was easily attracted to him because of his magnetic quality. He came across as articulate, communicative and knowledgeable. He was always interested in the people and events happening around him. It was important for him to keep his mind and hands occupied. He was broadminded, tolerant and had a winning personality.
His Death
In November 2013, Walker died in a car accident, and Furious 7 was released posthumously. "See You Again" song from the film's soundtrack gives a final tribute to Walker. He died after attending a charity event for "Reach Out Worldwide." The car he was speeding at more than 100mph, crashed and burst into flames. His friend and financial adviser Roger Rodas, who was with him in the car, also died. Walker was just forty at the time of his death. He dies because of effects of traumatic and thermal injuries. There were no indications of drugs or alcohol detected in either man.
According to a report, the car was driving at unsafe speed and underwent sever collisions with a sidewalk, the driver's side struck and a light post, spinning at 180 degrees. Because of the major traffic collisions, the vehicle was almost split in half. When the accident happened, Walker was still filming scenes for Fast and Furious 7 (Urquhart).
“Furious 7” got a record-breaking opening weekend, and the final scene made everyone silent and in tears as the words “For Paul” rolled on the screen just before the credits. A pang of sadness does hit the audience the first time Brian shows up on the screen. They want him to survive and are lead into confusions, wishing that the man behind the character might survive too. His character, Brian O’Conner performs one dangerous stunt after another and cheats death in the most stylish ways. In the film, Brian retires forever, and the ending of the film turns out to be pretty close to perfect.
