When people die from an unknown cause, the mind will be triggered for an investigation on the disease. It will start from gathering information about the disease. The information will come from symptoms, the medical history of the infections, the laboratory findings and any recent case and treatment attempted for the disease. Surveillance entails the investigation time by the epidemiologists (Bls.gov, 1). It will have the demographic information, the way in which the symptoms come and the health care consciousness. It will go further to reviewing the autopsy reports of any unexplained death.
As a physician handling a delicate matter, one has to take a keen interest in informing relevant authorities about the unknown disease. It could be health departments who are the health practitioners; they also inform policy makers and the public.
The deaths create an alarm since they entail a tricky situation of dealing with a virus that has no cure. It makes the physicians communicate their findings to combat the spread. It becomes imperative to know the vulnerable population in line with infections. The agony will be how to minimize the spread of the virus might be harmful than expected. It is due to the goal of improving public health. The other facts entail being able to evaluate the cycle of the spread and how to handle those vulnerable groups in the predisposed conditions.
At this point, there is relatively much information about the disease. It regards the location if virus. That is Navajo from rural areas. I discover that the infections are through interaction, and there are chances of the virus spreading due to lack of information on who is safe from it or not thus, some protective measures in a way to control the spread of the disease.
The issues that arise with the disclosure of the disease is to control the movement of people in between New Mexico and the United States of America. It becomes a challenge as it will be of negative impact to the economy of the country since it is the beginning of tourist season in New Mexico. The act of legislation becomes a sensitive matter not only locally but even overseas. The public has a write to know since its deadly sensitive issue. Informing the public formally becomes a tool of making it avoid the biases that are normally created by the media. In giving the public information, it will help them control the spread.
In the wake of an epidemiological model, the hypothesis is that the social environment is not ready to embrace the conditions being set by the experts. The surrounding is becoming volatile to combating the disease menace (Bls.gov, 2). The impediments are caused by individual characteristics but also the setting and the situational factors. It becomes more of societal engages of racism, stigma, and segregation. One group is hating the other. Time becomes sensitive as the place is vulnerable to more damage.
Having known the development of the virus, it becomes a step towards educating the populace. Making the truth come out in the wake of many challenges from the social environment. I make a report on Hantavirus infections and how it spreads. Giving more information on its vector and conditions that increase its spread.
The agent is the Hantavirus. It is the virus that causes the infection. The host is the human beings, the get infected with the virus upon exposure. The environment being the external condition favorable for the virus to spread becomes the rodent’s excreta. It is the channel through which the virus gets to the host. The littering and dirty environment affect the virus positively.
After the disclosure of how pinon pine gives nuts to the deer mice hence it's thriving, it becomes necessary to control the nuts in the environment despite the luxuriant rain that makes it succeed. Incorporating policy makers are important in enforcing a clean environment.
Since its outbreak was contained in 1993. After the change in weather, it implies that a study of weather patterns should be considered and the environment modified to curb the deer mice being in contact with humans thus controlling the virus.
