Dear workers,
Today we are centralizing operations at Arugula Grocers so that the company can get the opportunity to compete in its business environment. The company would like to announce some changes with the intention of steering its operation towards focusing on customers, enhance operations and cut on operational costs.
Unfortunately, the company can only achieve its new focus by making the tough decision of eliminating jobs. The process of eliminating is part of the company’s decision to centralize its operations so that the company can focus on achieving its goals. Arugula Grocers has begun notifying its employees about the new changes starting with this letter. As part of the notification process, the company will notify approximately 150 employees of phased transition. Arugula Grocers values its employees and would like to thank of you who will be leaving. We thank you for your contribution at Arugula Grocers. The management of Arugula Grocers would like to assure every affected person that it would treat everyone with respect and dignity. Thus, the company will offer useful resources to ensure a smooth transition process.
We however would like to acknowledge some remarkable performance portrayed by some of the organization’s executives. Despite the lack of the set standards of performance, some of the members of the executive committee have displayed a substantial level of commitment and productivity. For this reason, the company has decided to exempt them from the immediate retrenchment, to a short-term retention of about six months. The chosen members are expected to display high levels of commitment, which may be rewarded by further retention of the slot.
The success of the organization depends on the executives’ decisions, actions, and leadership (Kanter and Paul 3). Without these key qualities, Evergreen Natural Market is set for failure and doom. The company’s management team and I have the role of ensuring that a team of executives who possess abundant knowhow on our operations manages all our branches and subsequent stores. The workforce must also be focused and creative, to better customer satisfaction and thus creating a bond. All these factors yield up to organizational success marked by numerous profit gains.
The goal of Arugula Grocers is to retain its focus on core business by putting customer first, and the company is aggressively pursuing this goal. The management team acknowledges that change is never easy, but we must all work towards pushing Arugula Grocers forward. Arugula Grocers is a fantastic company that has exceptional talent, and we are sure that we will encourage each other throughout this difficult transition period.
Employees affected by the retrenchment process will receive a severance package involving a salary payment for one week each year. Arugula Grocers would like to note that the company will inform qualified candidates for any vacancies that may arise during the following six months. We promise that the company will give you first consideration. However, it is not a guarantee that Arugula Grocers will re-employ those affected by the retrenchment process. However, you may provide us with your permanent address so that we can inform you about vacant employment opportunities. The contacts will enable the company to reach you in case a suitable position arises.
The company as a whole would like to apologise to anyone who has been adversely affected by the decision. It is meant to better the organization’s performance, and maximize the attainment of the set goal, which is total customer satisfaction. It is also a challenge to you, in that it questions your productivity. It should be your motivator to maximize your production, for utmost growth of your employer organization.
