A problem with me, that remains and will remain is forgetting after I put earphones on my head that I have them on me and that one time in the university library when my friend and I were seated together, and he asked me something, I spoke so loud that everyone turned around to glare at me. Who knew that I was half-screaming? Everyone, but me, of course. Well, this isn’t the only time that I have publicly embarrassed myself because my obsession with texting took me too far one time when I was typing with utmost concentration that I didn’t realize there was a step in front of me and I tripped and fell facedown, both cell phone and me on the classroom floor. Yes, I was greeted with laughter that ironically added to my pain.
I guess with some people getting away with something isn’t that easy, and I happen to be one of those people. Strangely, whenever I bunk a lecture of a professor that I can’t stand or whose assignment I had completely forgotten to make, I happen to bump into that very professor later on in the day. For the record, this happens every single time I bunk a class!
I believe that I may not be the smartest student around but yes I do excel at some subjects and feel that I have an unsaid authority over them. There are times when I coach my friends in those subjects too. However, the embarrassment is killing when my friends end up getting a better grade than I do! These and many more memories make life at University truly unforgettable.
