This paper presents an article review on the subject climate change. In the article titled No Doubt It's A Climate-Change Drought written by Jeff McMahon talks about the event that happened in December 2014. Three scientists decided to hold a conference concerning the topic drought. What brought this matter to the forefront was the non-stop raining for over a week. That was the rainiest day recorded ever according to Stanford University. In California, drought remains to be a permanent issue. The rain that pours all over the state is said to be helpful. In other states in America, there were precipitation incidents; however, drought still remains. The evidence of drought in the country can be observed through the decreasing amount of reservoirs as well as the low incidence of precipitation during the winter. The primary purpose of the gathering was to clear out some issues regarding the link between drought and climate’s natural variability. The three scientists claim that drought must be viewed not only by the frequency of rainfall. It was recommended that other anthropological climate factors must be taken into account when viewing drought.
The challenge behind climate change remains to be an issue since none has ever come to a mutual conclusion that climate change is real and existing. What struck me the most in the article is the way experts argue about the term drought and the factors that cause it. There are several other issues that must be taken into account such as the future of the planet and what people can do now.
Climate change is one of the many problems in the environment that not only affects all living things but also non-living things. Wildfires have been frequent and trees are starting to die. Animals that are dependent on plants have less and less food to consume. If this thing continues, everyone in the planet will likely suffer. This article is considered unbiased because the author merely presents two sides of the issues – that of the three scientists and that of NOAA. What makes this article even more credible is the fact that it presents an image to prove the existence of the impacts of climate change.
As a human being and as a concerned citizen of the country, I am wondering what is there left for the future generation if the effects of too much heating on the Earth’s atmosphere continue. Will there still be a chance for the generation to enjoy the kind of life that the present generation relishes? I am concerned about what will happen to the human race and everything on Earth. Moreover, I am wondering if there is still a chance to restore the kind of environment that we had before. Managing the impacts of climate change must start within. There is an imperative need to accept the reality that Earth is in danger.
