Training and Technology and its Impact on Employee
Training for any organization is a key to their success. Training of employees using correct tools leads the organization to achieve it communal goals more easily. As a company when they hire fresh graduates from all the fields training session for months is provided to the employees to give them the knowledge about the work they will be doing.
The success and failure of any organization depends upon its employee’s performance (Elnaga and Imran, 2013). In the fast changing swiftness of the business world today the companies should spend more energy in grooming their employees to face the day to day challenge. This is done by investing more in the employees training using various tools of training. This makes the employee competent enough to make own effective decisions to remain skilled in the business world. Training of the employee involves improving their skills, use of technology to solve issues, analytical problem solving and decision making.
Technology plays a vital role for any organization to enhance its capability (Aaron Olson). The proficient maturity of the employees comes from their experiences at workplace. That’s why most of the organizations are spending on skill development of the workers by harnessing more on the information technology. It involves computer simulations, podcasts, social media, interactive tutorials and rising mobile tools to persuade learning process. Organizations are using self paced methods which include ad-hoc learning and amorphous methods for learning. Mobile devices and computers have changed the process of training and development. It is moving the training to a more efficient model. (Adler).
E-learning tools are also used by many organizations especially multinational organizations that are separated by geographical distance (Michele C. Minton, 2000). As the competition is increasing in the business world on daily basis new set of skills and their fast implementation amongst the employees is required by the organizations. For organizations separated by geographical distance E-learning tools helps the employees to learn the new set of skills within no time by just going on their organizations websites. Implementation of E-Learning will enhance significant remuneration of the organization and can save up to 40% of company budget on guidance and edification of their employees and most importantly the time they take to learn will be drastically decreased. Also the E-learning training tools ensure that the employees are always in touch with the latest happening in the organization and using this E-Learning tool they can coop with the company’s changing demands on daily basis.
