Global warming refers to the non-accepted change in the climate or rather an increase in the net temperature resulting into unwanted effects in the environment. Today, the entire world is facing with the global issue of Global Warming. The occurrences of global warming can rise due to several changes in the natural events and even due to the human activities that are polluting the environment in one or the other way (Allen, 2006).
However, several environmentalists confirm that, such changes in the climate are happening due to unwanted manufacturing and industrial activities that are directly polluting the environment. The thesis of this paper will thereby, discuss the issue of Global Warming, its side-effects and what should be done to overcome the biggest threat to the entire global world.
The rise in the temperature does not happen by itself; it can happen due to several incidents that at the end can lead to global warming. Hence, we are finding several such changes in the environment all around the world. It is thereby, turning out to be a global issue in the world, and even the United Nations has raised its concern across the world. As per the reports provided by NASA in 2011, the temperature has increased by almost 90% since 1971, and the impacts are found in the oceanic resources. In the event occurrence of global warming, first of there is a rise in the temperature that could affect the living cycle of several creatures in the world.
Further, researchers have mentioned that, such temperature rise can happen due to increase in the emanation of Carbon Dioxide and other pollutants in the atmosphere, deforestation activities, lack of green environment in several parts of the world and other activities due to which the tree cover is reducing leading to unwanted effects in the environment.
There are many industrial activities taking place nowadays around the world, due to which, the amount of pollution has increased a lot. People do not understand the importance of forests and green cover, and are continuously cutting down the trees, due to which the impact of Global Warming has increased. Since the beginning of the 20th century, it is found that, there has been an increase in the temperature by about 0.8°C of the water and the air surface. This clearly shows that, the temperature has increased more due to the mankind environment-destruction activities.
The researchers have also highlighted the Greenhouse Effect that is occurring due to Global Warming. The ozone layer is depleting and the sun' rays are directly hitting the surface of the Earth, resulting into an increase in the temperature. As a result, we are observing several weather changes in different seasons in different parts of the world.
Further, there are no arrangements as such made by the industries and global corporations regarding how to dump off the waste. They are pouring down all the chemical and hazardous waste into the natural water resources, and thereby, are polluting the environment all the more (Alley, 2003). It seems that, the entire orbital cycle has been disturbed with this global issue, and hence, there is a need to take proper steps that will help to overcome this global challenge.
Environmentalists have recommended increasing the tree plantation activities and increasing the green cover of the trees on the surface of the earth. Further, the government of all the nations needs to work in a collaborative fashion on this global issue and guide their population to avoid the pollution-creation activities. People need to be made aware of such issues so that they can even contribute equally on this matter. There is a need to avoid the Greenhouse effect so that the temperature rise can be controlled in the entire world, leading to normal environmental conditions.
