The international marriages continue to increase multiculturalism in Korea. The article tends to justify the issue of marriages as a platform to multiculturalism and globalization. It is through Hines Ward event that the government policy on multiculturalism was established. I believe that media and the government played a key role in enhancing the multiculturalism in Korea.

Based on Hines Ward event I agree with the perspective that the media enhances togetherness through celebrities (Ji-Hyun, 2014). The Hines Event was a platform to unpack the matters of, mixed-race identity that is mostly hidden. The image that Hines created was that he was a Korean-American. I agree with the authors view because people in society tend to associate themselves with their people. For example, Koreans associate themselves with Hines because he is famous.
In conclusion, racial visibility has tremendously increased in Korea. The television and media visualize the dynamic changes by using celebrities on the screen. Hines event marked a reconstruction of issues relates to race identity. The television representation of Hines is one of the lessons learned. These are because it is the best way to articulate multiculturalism.
