I have recently faced a problem concerning one of the colleagues and would like to explain it to you as it directly affects my working process. Laura Green seems to completely ignore the regulations of the company regarding working hours for she has been coming in to work late for the last four months and today is the fourth time she is tardy this week. To make matters worse, her inappropriate attitude towards the work reflected on me as well since a part of her duties were delegated to me with the amount of work I have to do increasing significantly.
What is really important is that the punctuality of all workers creates a reliable and professional image for the company in the eyes of the clients and partners. Thus I feel that being constantly late for work may not only disrupt some daily operations but also undermine the company’s reputation, which apparently is one of the most significant things in business today. Moreover, Laura Green’s bad example might lead to other workers not abiding by the rules that could result in the slackening of discipline and decline in productivity.
Here you may find a list of recommendations how to prevent aforementioned problems:
Introduce a check-in system at the entrance so you can always monitor when the employees come in to work;
Impose fines on those not complying with the company’s regulations;
All the points considered, I am sure that Laura Green’s habitual tardiness should not be tolerated since it may cause subsequent problems that could damage the company’s operation; and thereby I ask you to take some measures to put an end to this issue.
