The Bhagavad Gita is one of the most pious texts in the entire world. This book is not only famous among Hindus, but is also popular among people belonging to other religious beliefs. The book goes on to preach morality and moral law, and it describes the same as the foundation of an individual’s success in life.
There is teaching regarding ‘buddhi-yoga’ that signifies acting without having the expectation of getting anything back as reward. The text further goes on to preach that being ethical is very important in life for betterment. Also, a person requires detaching oneself from the action he is performing, and carry out the action sacrificially. It is stated that a person achieves supreme good if he or she does something with detachment.
Lord Krishna talks about ‘karma-yoga’ that means reaction-free work of devotion. If a person fights for the cause of the Almighty, that would be the best thing for him. A person should refrain from indulging in sinful actions.
Lord Krishna goes on to preach that a leader has to take the responsibility of acting in the hour of need so that other people can follow the leader’s example. Also, a person is said to have the right to perform the duties in life, but he is not entitled to the result of the actions.
Moral law is universal in nature, and people need to act as per his or her duty in life to live well. One needs to set aside his or her own ambitions in life to act dutifully. Thus, Bhagavad Gita goes on to teach the most important lessons in life that are bound to influence people in the most effective way.
