Good Essay On Results Based Template
Among a type of lenses, one of the most popular lenses is the Results Lens. According to this type of moral interpretation a deed is virtuous from the moment that good results come from decent actions. An ethical individual must engage in actions that produce the utmost good possible and the utmost pleasure for others. This moral compass is addressed to people who listen to their instinct and can use their awareness to carry out the choices that will define the maximum good. These people make an effort of being impartial and just although they may have a weak spot and that could be that they are pleased with not so many good deeds or having impractical role anticipations. They may have the tendency to drop a white towel in front of baffling complications as long as their desires are fulfilled abandoning individuals who are counting on them behind. Or, they may tend to set unachievable role expectations. They, also, may wrongly accept that people will implement their merits to a particular role, and they do not take into account that people can, sometimes more than we would like to admit to ourselves, come to nothing.
Those that function as “ethical agents” will try to augment the gratification of all parties involved. The participants of the group should utilize every efficient way to accomplish the objectives of the group, in the effort of reaching its goals as resourcefully as possible by absorbing as few assets as possible. The agents should be loyal and avoid conflict of interest by not getting involved in situations where their personal interest clashes with the organizational interest.
A practical way to use the Result Lens is: the identification of the ethical actor, the definition of the parties involved, the stakeholders and giving the right amount of attention to the context. Also, an agent needs to act responsibly. When presented with moral dilemmas he has to put the greater good on top of his own possibly selfish thoughts. The agent needs to list and arrange the options presented to him or her from the least favored to the most favored. Then he has to struggle for moral maturity and finally he has to act with bravery. The final step to a practical guide for using the Result Lens is the return to consciousness, with respect to the principled maturity that the agents strive for but continuing towards perfection nonetheless.
The agents’ weak spots are pomposity and privilege. They sometimes tend to overlook that individuals have free will, and they establish their choices based in their own standpoint. This makes their choices fragile because they lack of productive criticism. They are drawn to establish their choices in what is beneficial instead of what is fair. They can similarly be persuaded that only the significance of a deed make the choice that produced that deed good or bad and they do not bother taking into account the procedure to achieve such good. This can have as an outcome, positive actions driven by immoral choices or actions that stop them from doing a good and efficient job. Their biggest quality is their ability to balance between ego and other people. They will use their heart to make decisions but they will also use their reasonableness to stay rational. They value independence and they rejoice independence.
