I have come to the determination that my personal brand will be designed to primarily target the audience demographic constituted by youth and adolescents throughout the nation in order to \ encourage the widespread recognition of and identification with my brand and through extension to use this large degree of social exposure to act as a positive cultural role model for youth and adolescents around the country. In order to attract the largest potential audience from which my brand may gain recognition and achieve success, I have decided to align the development of my personal brand with the widely renowned brand of the Boys’ and Girls’ Club of America, which has established itself as a cultural institution providing a vast array of positive influence and extracurricular outlets for millions of adolescents throughout the country. By aligning my personal brand with the Boys’ and Girls’ Club of America brand, I will be able to draw upon the credibility of the Boys’ and Girls’ Club as a cultural institution to lend credibility, structure and direction to my brand.
One way my personal brand will draw upon the influence of the Boys’ and Girls’ Club of America brand to appeal to the adolescents and parents who affiliate with the institution is by defining itself through the qualities of honestly, respect and appreciation. My brand will champion these qualities in order to encourage children and families throughout the nation to adopt these qualities into the context of their daily lives, and furthermore defining my brand through these qualities will provide a moralistic marker to appeal to parents seeking socially beneficial products and services. The adjectives I have chosen to describe my brand are easy going, caring and intelligent, which I believe encompass a well-rounded approach to perceiving and interacting with the world. Furthermore, using these adjectives to describe my brand will ideally foster the promotion of these principles of social interaction and judgement within the context of Boys’ and Girls’ Club locations throughout the country. Using the established identity of the Boys’ and Girls’ Club of America brand to develop and promote a personal brand based on moralistic qualities such as respect, appreciation and honesty will potentially allow me to both enrich the greater community and achieve the purpose and goal which I have set for my personal life, which is to establish a name for myself and become successful.
Through establishing my brand identity upon the basis of moral and ethical family centered values such as trust and respect, I will be able to easily appeal to not only the children attending Boys’ and Girls’ Club programs throughout the country, but also their parents who are constantly searching for positive community based role models. One way I could seek to solidify the moral and ethical credibility of my personal brand as a cultural role model is by achieving a title such as “National Youth of the Year”, which would allow me to promote my brand to a national audience by effectively representing the best traits of my community. Thus through using the Boys’ and Girls’ Club as a model and avenue for the construction and marketing of my personal brand, which itself is defined by universal moral values and positive adjectives to encourage identification and influence behavior, I will be able to both fulfil my personal purpose of establishing a renowned brand identity and achieve my personal goal of becoming successful. In this way, the function of my brand reflects and operates according to the essence of what I stand for in the hearts and minds of people who know me, which is acting as a positive role model for the community as a whole. By establishing a successful personal brand which aligns itself with credible cultural institutions like the Boys’ and Girls’ Club and defines itself through universal positive moral concepts and values, I may be able to achieve personal recognition and success while acting as a role model for underserved adolescents in Boys’ and Girls’ Club locations throughout the nation.
