The supplementary content and videos relate to the chapter by strengthening the arguments in the same chapter. The chapter acknowledges the psychosocial dynamics that underscore the realities of human resources management (HRM). Many a time, organizational planners, analysts and decision makers have made the wrong assumption that effective HR management is directly, irrevocably and solely dependent on the vastness of the pool of assets that are owned by the firm or organization. The videos and supplementary contents make it plain that HR management heavily borrows from psychosocial aspects of organizational existence such as intra-organizational cohesion, democratization of the workplace, management style, fairness in employee remunerations, constructive competitiveness and the appropriate application of performance stimuli. In the absence of these factors, even the most financially endowed organizations may crumble due to sustained performance gaps (Bernardin & Russell, 563).

One of the ideas that are discussed in the supplementary content and videos but not in the book is the manner in which psychosocial predisposition among employees affect organizational performance. This reality stems from a micro-level to macro-level point of realization. In the event that employees are not in good terms, it becomes difficult to maintain teamwork within the organization or a team. In the absence of the team spirit, it becomes impossible for the team to: maintain proper coordination; expend organizational synergy and resources efficiently; and to realize the attainment of the set performance target. Because of this, the supplementary content of the book underscores the psychosocial nature of man who forms the organizational personnel and the ability to attain the set performance target.
