Question 1 - Outcomes and Objectives in a nursing course
According to Georgetown University (2015), the five major outcomes in nursing course are
“Evaluation and analysis of international health-related studies and reports” (Georgetown University, 2015, p.1)
“Designing and managing independent felid and policy research methodology and evidence-based analysis” (Georgetown University, 2015, p.1)
“Evaluate challenges and formulate strategies for providing health in developing cultures” (Georgetown University, 2015, p.1)
“Immersing in community with understanding of political, institutional and cultural environments” (Georgetown University, 2015, p.1)
“Analyze the determinants of global health inequity” (Georgetown University, 2015, p.1)
The measurement of these objectives can be undertaken through exam material and course project academic reports written by the student in any of the objectives. This will be to assert knowledge and provide critical insight into any of the objectives of nursing studies.
Question 2
Test- this involves running examination to confirm the assessment findings for a patient.
Measurement – Measurement in nursing concerns prime focus into providing information about the patient through the test. The measurements provide the degree of exposure and the sensitivity of the patient’s condition in the test stages.
Norm referencing – this refers to awarding of student rankings in accordance with a particularly known system or cohort
Criterion referencing – on the other hand, this refers to awarding of student grades in nursing studies using comparison of the student achievements with a stated outcome or a particular performance level. This has no predetermined grade level like norm referencing
Evaluation – according to Dahlke et al., (2012), this is test analysis of the student performance to understand the grasp of course material by the student. This will be linked to assessing the professional conduct of these students and equally their clinical reasoning.
Formative evaluation – its role in providing a monitor aspect to the students learning and provide feedback which can be used by the instructor to improve their teaching. It equally identifies the student’s strengths and weaknesses.
Summative evaluation - strives to evaluate the students learning at the end of the unit of learning. It compares the student with a standard benchmarked performance. The most common of these are the final projects and midterm exams.

The assessment appears valid, but lacks a number of reliability scores owing to the structure of the score sheet. The use of the tool by educators and learners will not be an easy one, as highlighted; this is based on the structure of the assessment sheet. To implore on the improvements for the tool, it would be easy to interpret the data recorded for future reference if the assessment would use short question rather than the codes it has used. This will make it easy to use the tool as a reference to other persons not present in the assessment.
