Good Example Of Julie And Julia Movie Review
(Institution Name)
The movie Julie and Julia plots a young woman named Julie Powel, who is married to a much understanding man Eric Powel. She originally worked in a call center and made enough money to support her husband to pass their days in a life standard next to nothing. They made minimum wage and, therefore, could only afford to live in a small house on the top of a pizza shop. Julie was passionate about becoming a professional cook, and then a desire took birth in her to master the art of French cooking in a surprising time. The tasks demanded her to learn and become proficient in cooking almost 600 dishes in 365 days. She was also curious to constantly share the proceedings with the world through a blog that she maintained.
The movie also features a character Julia Child who herself was a lower class woman passionate about French cooking back in 1961 and another point of similarity between the two is that Julia also had a saint like husband who supported her to the end unlike that of Julie’s who left her in between as he could no longer take her stubbornness to continue her project. After all, they could barely put food on their table and having to afford too many groceries, and quiet expensive ones too were asking something. But since she enjoyed doing what she was on to, she wept and moved on when Eric left her only to again come back to her towards the end of her project having realized his mistake. Eventually, by the end of the year she grew famous for the blog that she maintained and, even though, one publisher disallowed to publish her book, another one did. The blog that she administered, in this movie is of prime importance. The movie is claimed to have been based on two true life stories of women that are main characters in the movies.
Firstly a blog is successful if it means something to the readers. Like in the movie, the blog was about two things that have great value to the viewers. One is the content that being food and cooking, particularly French dish cooking that can be adored by any food lover. The second is the fact that the author actually took up a challenge to do a task that is regarded as nomadic. She was, however, able to keep to her heading that she made and did not give up even though she and her husband faced the most dreadful financial conditions.
She was able to convey in a rather nonverbal manner how capable she was and that she was a natural at learning new dishes and cooking them to perfection. The blog simply served as a medium for her to tell the world about how bad she wanted to become a proficient cook of the French cuisine. She was determined at the same time to change her fate to become something more than a clerk working at a call center making minimum wage and having to live in a small accommodation. The blog she administered has a personality of its own and she out her own life and soul into it making it more alive. As she progressed, so did the blog hence making a complete reflection of her success eventually making her recognizable as a brilliant cook and a writer.
