I consider myself culturally competent when interacting with persons drawn from diverse backgrounds. This is accredited to the primary fact that I have a wider array of experience interacting with people from various cultures, whereby I have managed to establish positive relations with these people. There are various methods that can be utilized to help make interactions with people from diverse backgrounds more comfortable. Communicating appropriately occurs as one of such methods, whereby it is always important to listen carefully when interacting with people from a different culture in order to understand what they are saying. Another method is avoiding assumptions, which can be achieved through keeping an open mind when interacting from different cultures (Diller, 2014). Finally, building rapport is a critical method that can be utilized to help people interact with individuals from different cultural backgrounds.
Part Two
The distribution and chemistry of igneous rocks is likely to alter the future in that it will have a colossal effect on volcanic activity. Notably, igneous rocks are derived from the magma, which is drawn from the mantle, which is the second layer of the earth. Volcanoes often bring the magma to the earth’s surface, whereby the occurrence of volcanoes is dependent on the location of the tectonic plates. Whether fewer or more volcanoes will occur in future is something that is unpredictable. This is because the movement of tectonic plates, which result in the occurrence of volcanoes cannot be predicted in the long term (Martí & Ernst, 2005).
Part Three
The essence of information literacy skills is undisputable, especially in the competitive job markets. A person can make information literacy skills evident during an interview by being able to synthesize information and critically evaluate the interview requirements or questions. This makes it easy to come up with adequate answers that would leverage their chances of getting employment (Thomas et al., 2011). Some of the examples that I could use is use of case studies as a way of elucidating questions asked in the event of an interview. I can make clear the benefit of hiring me would provide an employer by streamlining my skills and abilities to suit the employer’s job requirements. This will clearly demonstrate my ability to adapt to different job situations.
