Question 1
Apparently, while a retailer can control some variables when working on his or her retail strategy, some variables remain uncontrollable. In this case, the following are the uncontrollable variables when working on a retail strategy:
Consumers
Technology
Economic conditions
Legal restrictions
Market competition
Seasonality
The variables above cannot be controlled by a retailer because it depends on other factors that are beyond the scope of the retailer.
Question 2
Though I have since experienced a number of situations where I felt unsatisfied with the customer services offered, one experience that would remain memorable is the one I experienced in a particular restaurant. One evening while hanging out with my friends, in a restaurant next to our school, I decided to order coffee contrary to my friends who ordered for juice. Unexpectedly, the waitperson replied to my request in a very rude torn; she told me to think of my friends and take the juice instead of complicating things. Though it was around 12 PM and a sunny day, I was free to order anything on the menu without being questioned. Even after talking to me indecently, the waitperson took more than 10 minutes to make my coffee. I was so furious to an extent where I had to leave the restaurant without taking the coffee.
Question 3
Goods Retailing solely focuses on sales related to tangible products. In essence, the seller, in this case, sells a product that can be acquired from a manufacturer or rather a tangible item. On the contrary, service retailing single-mindedly focused on transactions in which the consumer or rather the buyer do not acquire possession of the physical product.
