The Prelude is an autobiographical poem by famous English poet William Wordswroth. The poem was written and corrected within the whole life of the poet. It should reveal his major philosophic and aesthetic views. Besides, the poem reflects his personal feelings towards the things and events he encountered. Besides, the author analyzes his own way of growing up and become a poet. It was started at the beginning of the romanticism movement, when many creative people reacted against the period off the reason, the rationalism of the previous epoch. Therefore, the pome expresses new ideas about the literature, philosophy and world view in general. Besides, the author claims that the poem was created with the aim of the honoring another famous British poet Samuel Taylor Coleridge, the investigation and reconsideration of his own poetic abilities. Besides, the whole work should be the base of his other poem, The Recluse, which has never been finished. The poem contains 14 books. Actually, every book should indicate the stage of the Wordworth’s development. The first book is about the childhood and the school years of Wordsworth. There is no clear structure of this book. It is started as the author is mature but it has a lot of flashbacks about his early years. The poet is happy to come back to nature after the London’s air. He feels the liberty and the opportunity for creation. He wants to complete the fundamental work to refresh his mind after the society influence. Further, the character things about his activities he was doing as a child. While expressing his emotions about the river-bathing, he provides his thought of education as well. Furthermore, he writes about a stealing a boat and crossing a river on it. The whole book is dedicated to the understanding that the nature is the best educator and its beauty is eternal.
