“Although artists continue to break free from the styles of previous era, novelty in product design does not guarantee approval of the majority all the time. For example, modernists found classicism as stifling, and later, post-modernists wanted to break free from modernism. However, Modernism is still more preferred than postmodernism in the world of product design because of its functional value.”
