It is a story about a boy, who does not like to live. Once his mother was told that he is dead and he could watch her reaction. He realized he likes to die. After that, he started to imitate his death. He selected a lot of ways to pretend he stopped his life with suicide. But his mother was a strong woman and she did not pay attention to it. Harold was not interested in what was going around him. He liked to visit funeral and once he met a woman who likes to do the same. Maud was almost 80 years old and she told him that life after 80 it is not a life and soon she is going to leave this world, because in a few days she has 80th birthday. She was not afraid of death as for her it was not scary.
This amazing woman woke up interest in Harold. He started to spend time with her, she showed him that life is really interesting thing and you can do all you want if you are going to be happy. She showed him her collection, she taught him how to thing,she made him to learn how to play on musical instruments. She knew how to enjoy the life and she was never afraid of anything.
Maude meant a lot to Harold, he falls in love with her. He decided to marry her. But he forgot about one thing, he forgot that Maude decided to leave this world at eighty. When they were celebrating her birthday, he wanted to make her proposal, but she told that she took some pills and in a few hours she will die.
It was a pain for Harold and he did his best to help her to survive, but doctors could not do anything. He suffered because of it and he even did not want to live.
But it was a sign that he met her, she made him to love the life, she gave him all she had in her heart. She was the first woman he loved. And like the phoenix rising from the ashes, he revived new man after the death of Maude, which brought him such pain. He changed and understood, that it is possible to live in joy. It was an amazing change of strange and vicious boy. And it was the most romantic love story of two people.
