In the film ‘The Other Side of Immigration’ one of the speakers says that migration is not the problem. The problem arises after the migrant workers arrive in the United States and there is no work. The lack of stable jobs and poor working conditions in Mexico leads to migration in search of jobs. Most of the Mexican immigrants want to stay in the United States.

The undocumented immigrants in the United States create fantasy to their counterparts in Mexico who want to immigrate to the United States through the various ways. One of the methods is the remittances send back home. One of the solutions to reduce undocumented immigrants is the creation of a guest worker program. The guest workers could save the money and return in the future. The improvement of Mexico’s economy would reduce the instances of immigration.
