Good My Experience As A Writer Essay Example

A great story or article always captivates me. My interest in reading has always pushed me to writing. When I read great pieces from other writers, I felt fascinated and motivated to write great articles too. Reading and writing are interrelated in more than just one way. Research has shown that when a person reads extensively they are bound to become better writers. When I am writing an article or some piece, I constantly keep the audience in mind. Will they love this article? How will they react to this article? These are some of the questions that I asks myself while penning down any article. The same case applies to when I am reading. I keep on asking myself the intentions of the writer, the audience he or she was targeting as well as the reaction I expect from my audience.My identity as a writer has been largely shaped by the knowledge and techniques I have learned to write captivating, well-structured and successful papers. My great interest in reading made me develop a great interest in writing great pieces like the ones I have read over time either in class or at home. My reading style that I have employed in the past is primarily in-depth reading or detailed reading. It helps me to understand the main concepts and arguments that the text contains. In-depth reading works well for me because of the comprehension, and detailed information I get from the text am reading. I have developed more on the argumentative style of writing because of its subject-oriented style.I chose to expose a subject to my audience in order to give them an open-ended argument that was to lead them to make their opinions about the issue. When choosing this writing style, I put in mind my audience first because I know it will be appropriate to them. It would be extremely inappropriate and ill-advised to practice different writing styles for different audiences (Oliu 1994). When doing my revisions I have developed a technique of highlighting the main point for easy identification and remembrance. Highlighters guide me in making quick notes about the main points of an article. These factors have significantly impacted my identity as a writer. I get motivation from my audience to keep on writing relevant pieces to them that will captivate them and make them keep thinking about the subject that I present to them.
