QUESTION ONE: Notice Issues

The initial key issues that surfaced during the search for a community to accompany
During my search for the community to accompany, a lot of people were not willing to accompany me to go for the field experience. Several people within the community could not accept to go for the field experience.

Within the community, some individuals were uncooperative, as they could not follow some of the simple instructions issued.

The key issues that surfaced during the field experience with the community
There was climatic hazards that we experienced during the field experiment with the community. It was raining heavily and since our site for field experiment is far from homestead, we could not find somewhere for shelter.
During the field experiment with the community, there as a problem of language barrier whereby we found that the community did not master well the language and this made the field experiment to be much troubling.

Issues that surfaced due to otherness

There was differences that existed between the individuals. Each of them had different understanding of the subject of field study.
Another differences was that some of the individuals had vested interests in the field study, as they could not cooperate. There was generally poor cooperation within the members who went for the field experience.

The similarities that surfaced

The main similarity that was noticed among each of the members of the field experience is that each one of them was competent to all the tasks that were being assigned to each of them.
Another similarity is that each of the participant in the community had prior knowledge about the field experience and therefore they were well prepared for it.

What I have noticed during the entire process through the sharpened lens of our course reading.

What I noticed is that a successful field experience needs good planning and preparation so as to make arrangement of all the necessary requirements.
The community to be accompanied for the field experiment needs to be well informed prior to the actual day. This will facilitate proper preparation by the entire community

QUESTION TWO: ARTICULATION OF THEOLOGY

Significant theological concepts from our readings and discussions that are compelling and relevant.
One theological concept that I got from the reading is that God seems to be much unwilling to participate in our efforts to pigeonhole him. In the books, the author states, “God seems to be an unwilling participant in our efforts to pigeonhole Him. The minute we think we’ve arrived at the most expansive sense of who God is, “this Great, Wild God,” as the poet Hafez writes, breaks through the claustrophobia of our own articulation, and things get large again”. (Boyle, p 28-35)
Another this is that God is compassionate, loving and kind. The author states, “Just assume the answer to every question is compassion.” (Boyle, p 62) This one of the most important theological concept that I has learned. Knowing that God is compassionate is something that we need to be proud of.
I also leant the idea that if kinship was an individuals’ goal, the no one will be promoting justice. The author says, “I suspect that were kinship our goal, we would no longer be promoting justice — we would be celebrating it. (Boyle, p 187) Kinship is something that will help us develop good spirit and we will see justice prevailing without necessarily promoting it directly.

QUESTION 3: BRAINSTORM QUESTIONS

Issues and theology are parallel ideas that always form in someone’s mind. There are several issues that differ with theology in one way or the other. Some of the theological concepts that arise are much different from the issues that arise. Some of the theological concepts include
Atheism; this is where one is convinced that God does not exist. Atheism is a believe that there is no supreme being (Raymentm, p 34). This theological concept is much confusing from real issues.
Atonement; this is the reconciliation of God with the humanity which was achieved by the death of Jesus Christ on the cross (McFague, p 32). Jesus died on the cross so that our sins may be forgiven. His willing to die on the cross was according to the will of God, to reconcile us with his father, God himself.
Biblical criticism; this is the application of various textual as well as historical methods to the holy books of the bible. This is whereby individuals become conscious about the bible, as they begin the seek the history of the bible (Raymentm, p 34). They end up criticizing the bible, as they don’t believe in some of the textual contexts in the bible.

On the other hand, some of the issues or ideas includes

Exegesis; this is the act of interpreting a text or a specific reading material by drawing out some of the inherent meaning. In this case, one judges the reading material and thus does not take much meaning of the book.
Eisegesis; this is the interpretation of the reading material by imposing a particular meaning to it. In this sense, before you start reading a particular material, you already have a formed opinion about it.

QUESTION FOUR:

Some of the important resources that I can use some answer some of the information will highly depend on the nature of the problem. For example, when conducting demographic study onto childhood poverty, I will require some materials that have demographic information that will be helpful to carry out this study.
When carrying out a study on the historical information on the Catholic Latino communities in the Southwest, one can use specific books as resource for that particular information or even the use of first hand information through interviews and filling of questionnaire. This will provide a good information about the subject of discussion.
When researching about the doctrine of the trinity and how it models the ideals of the humanity, on can use books that cover a lot of details about the doctrines of trinity. They will give information about this subject in a clear way.
When seeking to find information about the Parable of the Good Samaritan, or even about the beatitude, the most appropriate resources that will be used is the Holy bible. The Holy bible contain all the important information that one can be in need of. Most of the biblical information can only be found on the holy bible, as it is the resource that contain all the information that one might be in need of such as Jesus’ preaching about the poor and many other information.
