Good Report On CNN Heroes
The www.cnnheroes.com website provides a general overview of heroes. It describes them as, “your neighbors, your friends, your colleagues, your parents.” It shows how they can bring a difference. It also gives a tribute to the Top 10 CNN Heroes of 2014 that aired on 7th December, 2014 on the CNN’s global networks.
On the site, there is Actor Gerard Butler helping CNN Hero Magnus MacFarlane-Barrow to serve up "Mary's Meals" to some schoolchildren in Liberia. Also, there is a video on what happens next after being a Top 10 Hero. About the hero of the year, it shows Pen Farthing who founded a non-profit organization whose mission is to unite soldiers with stray dogs and cats that they took in during combat. There are various articles and videos about turning soccer fans into an army for good, using music to heal the wounded, helping kids kick the pain and fear out of cancer, transforming lion killers into Lion Guardians, Cowgirl uses horses to motivate at-risk children and many others.
There are several actions I can take. First, I have decided to work towards becoming a hero one. I have seen how people are making significant changes, touching lives and are being recognized for that. It is great to be featured as a hero. Second, I have to educate people on the importance of becoming heroes. It adds value to their lives and that of others. I will advocate changes in people to make them start being of great benefits to their societies.
The sole purpose of this website is to show the world how people are making changes in others’ lives. It shows how the heroes are rewarded, what they have done to earn it and hence serve as a challenge to others. It is a drive to people for them to start making differences in life. It encourages people to leave the world better than they found it. This is only possible through initiatives such as these that are featured on the site.
My favorite heroes are Juan Pablo Romero Fuentes and Annette March-Grier. Juan Pablo Romero Fuentes, who was a teacher in Guatemala, decided to save his students who were struggling with drugs and dangerous gangs. He decided to turn some section of his home to be an after-school community center. Currently, the center, which acts as a nonprofit, offers meals, classes, low-cost medical care, tutoring and all others free of charge. He has helped restore hope to kids whose country homicide rates are very high. Through the leadership seminars, the kids get inspired so much. The above achievements have made me consider him a hero.they can be contacted on their website http://www.lospatojos.org.gt/ and offer your help.
My female hero is Annette March-Grier. She started Roberta’s house, a non-profit where kids from Baltimore would find peace and recovery. Also, the organization accommodates juvenile offenders to cope up with other forms of loss. Most of these kids’ parents were murdered. They, therefore, find it shockingly and hence Roberta’s house coming in to help them recover from the shock. This achievement has made me see her as a hero. If you want to assist them, you can contact them on their website, www.robertashouse.org/ and offer your help.
According to what I have discovered, people should learn to become heroes. There a lot of persons who are making differences in the lives of others. Some of their projects are challenging although it has made them earn the hero status. People need to learn how they should make differences to others
