The presence of Aztec civilization is marked from 1250 AD to 1522 AD. The location of the empire as referred in history at the valley of Mexico rounded Texcoco. There are numerous legendary depictions of the civilizations that determine the conduct of the empire and the traits of the civilization. The governance structure of the civilization was ruled by a king who was chosen by the nobles and priests of the time. The nobles and priests were also used to serve as the official judiciary and legislative bodies of the time. The most obvious punishments of judiciary are known to be dead penalty and getting sold as slave. The civilization enjoyed the treat of residing near water resorts. Thus, farming became the core occupation of the civilization. There were numerous inventions introduced by the civilization that supported reinforcement of better irrigational methods across the empire. The invention such as chinampas which were the floated garden planted on the reed mats are renown. Likewise, the method of irrigation by making channels of lakes is the basic method of irrigation that was utilized at the time. From religious aspect, the civilization was polytheists who worship sun as god. Their belief made them to sacrifice for the sun to ensure the sun rise for every other day. Human sacrifice was also the part of the practice.
The civilization of Mayan belongs to the classic period. This civilization is renowned for its creative attributes. Beautiful structures consisting of series of steps, temple pyramid, and sophisticated buildings with intelligent and purposeful development are the specific features of the society. From geographical aspect the Mayan civilization comprises of tropical rain forest. It developed in Yucatan in around 2600 BCE and marked the highest of its sophistication of civilization in the year 250 –900 CE.
The development made by the civilization could be marked in the arena of astronomy, architecture, medicine and various sphere of writing. The farming, cutting, weaving and trading were the most obvious occupations of the time. The inventions and solutions developed by the Mayans aroused out of wisdom and insight. The most prominent development in this lieu were Chichen Itza, which was built in Mesoamerica somewhere around 9th century. It was a symbol of the political and economic aura. Likewise the cultural orientation Mayan civilization in reference to clothing and ornaments displays the verified levels of status of civilization. Even body marks were used to segregate the people of different social status. Apart from the illustrated traits the courage of the people of Mayan civilization is recognized in history.
A comparison of the referred civilization made it evident that the Aztec civilization was primarily inclined to religion. Their core focus for devising solution of a problem was to offer sacrifices to god. In addition, from wisdom point of view, priests were support to the custodian of knowledge and only the children of nobles enjoy the privilege of attaining wisdom from the priest. However, the Mayan civilization is evidently open-minded in this reference. Not only they were inclined to make scientific discoveries but also they tried to develop solutions on their own.
Hence, it can be concluded that the variation of social, economic and scientific development of the two civilizations can be well predicted over the illustrated formula.
