Introduction

The social and communal costs of the technological life of the modern world are quite significant and destructive at times as well. The theoretical contribution of Maslow argues that people need legitimate socializing experience in order to lead happy and satisfactory lives (Lewis and Weigert, 968). However, the online resources those are promoting themselves as means of meeting new people are full of uselessness because they are creating more loneliness and the people are losing their ability to trust others as well. The element of trust provides the very basis upon that one has to craft his or her relations (Haslam, Jetten and Postmes, 15), and the fake online profiles force people towards development of a negative belief about potential falsification of each relation that they have in life.
The practice of online socialization provides an exposure that keeps people waiting to have a perfect love, but they spend better part of their lives in front of the computer screen that creates spaces of loneliness in their existence (Shaw and Gant, 158). The intensive users of internet have to lose the confidence that they need in order to emerge as persons with normalized social value, but as they devote much of their time to the virtual world, they risk losing friends and families as well.
Additionally, one has to consider the realistic picture of the role that social media is playing in our lives in order to find out that we are living in loneliness while having countless friends in our e-life. Living is a biological phenomenon, and therefore, we have to practice love in physical terms as well. The socialization on the internet gives sociopaths and mentally disturbed people to have a fake socialization experience that does not allow them to enjoy life (Caplan, 237). The socialization without the feeling of warmth is ineffective.
The charm of traditional socializing experience is far reaching in terms of its psychological ramifications those have a positive effect on one’s life. The supporters of online socialization argue that people can choose to meet their virtual friends after arranging planned dates. However, one has to waste a lot of emotional energy in order to trust anyone who they are going to meet for the first time in life. Secondly, the trends of online bullying and trolls will give oneself less reason to entrust an online acquaintance with an encounter.
The sociopaths are trying to find their new and innocent victims online those can run the risk of being raped if they make the unthinkable mistake of trusting a wrong person. The problem of online socialization is simple, and therefore, one has to take an elementary decision in this regard as well.
The followers of social media have to take a conscious decisive measure to allow themselves to have normal social circle at their workplaces, colleges and neighborhoods as well. In this way, they do not have to wait all day long in order to get a response from their loved ones. The usage of internet and social media is a newer form of addiction that we are facing in the contemporary times, but we have to act with an iron fist in order to snap out of the illusive world that has entrapped us in the recent years, and the devilish grip is increasing in terms of its intensity as well.
The human life involves meeting others, but social norms are changing in order to encompass a novel mindset that encourages us to remain silent in legitimate social gathering, and then, as a consequence, we have to spill our guts on the internet. The trend of over-sharing is immensely growing on the internet, and therefore, we have to prevent total destruction of our social lives by putting aside technology as a means of meeting new people. The quality of marriage is disintegrating as well because people change their preferences as a response of gaining new insight about life.
The divorce rates are spiking in all parts of the world because males and females are becoming gays and lesbians respectively in order to practice a new form of freedom, and the individuals who faced online bullying would never dare to engage in a long term romantic affairs. The social media is literally destroying our approach towards lives (Huston, 311). The people are not interested in getting married because it will limit their romantic perspectives from countless in number to one in particular, and the propagation of liberalism regarding sexual relations is causing greater psychological issues to emerge, and the technological mediation in the process of socialization is acting as a base of all the issues discussed throughout the body of this paper.

Conclusion

This paper has an objective to generate a discussion about poor socialization experience the youth is having in the name of social media. The element of trust is withering away with the passage of time. The online social platforms are causing people to add loneliness as a permanent member within their routine, and finally, they do not have anyone to turn to in times of misery.
