Good Unplanned Parenthood Essay Example
English
(Cause-and-Effect Essay)
I. Introduction
What is an unplanned parenthood? What are its causes and effects? Should it ever be regretted (Lautens)? In this essay, I will try to present the reasons why people, like me, have experienced the effects of being unprepared father. Although, some cases differ from one another, the causes may have similarities – and so do the effects they might have on the individuals concerned and those related to him.
II. Causes and Effects of Unplanned Parenthood
The causes of unplanned parenthood vary. For one, some teens, especially, are prone from committing it because of immaturity. They are curious about many things to the point that they immediately plunge to unprotected coitus without thoughts of the consequences to their future. All they desire is desire. They like lovemaking such that they are carried away with it. Little they realize that they are already entangled by the impending issue, which in most cases, is life changing.
Another cause of unplanned fatherhood or motherhood is due to hardheadedness. Youngsters and young adults are fully aware of their parents’ admonishment. However, they like more to listen to their heads rather than to the heartfelt advice of their parents. Whatever the reason why some individuals prefer to experience firsthand a dilemma and not listen to their experienced parents is often the case and it seems a perennial problem to many parents.
Third cause of unplanned parenthood is peer influence and pressure. Teenagers, especially, like to bond with their friends, boyfriends and girlfriends. They prefer to listen more to their so-called friends rather than to their parents who brought them up and reared them. It is ironic why some children who grew up to be teens are like that. In so doing, teens later on are driven by their passion to commit passion after passion until such time they become pregnant.
There are actually other causes of unplanned parenthood, hence, for lack of sufficient space and time; I would now go on to explain the effects of unplanned parenthood.
First, the effect of unplanned parenthood is emotional imbalance. Would-be parents are sometimes in mental disarray. They do not know what to do next with their life. Even when they seek advice, sometimes, they see in themselves that the problem is not what it seems. It is deeper than they thought before they engaged in sexual relationship. Individuals concerned think more about themselves first, which is understandable. “What would become of me, especially, when I still have no job and still want to pursue further education?” Depending on the situation of the persons involved, they can find the solution within or outside of themselves.
Second effect of unplanned parenthood is sometimes chastisement from their parents. Afterwards, because good parents are always parents and have already undergone such situation before, that is, for being pregnant, they would likely more to help their son or daughter to move on with their life. That is good for teens with loving and understandable parents. Parents really have to be supportive of their children who will later become parents like them.
Third effect of unplanned parenthood is lack of support. Everyone is surprised, most especially, the would-be parents. For that matter, it is expected that they may lack initial support from others. Nevertheless, after some times, other people who are concern about the welfare of the unborn child are likely to help the parents. Hence, would-be fathers and mothers of unplanned parenthood should still seek support and advice from their beloved family, friends and relatives (Lambert). Later on, would-be parents’ problems would most probably be solved given that life goes on for them to work and, may be, just like in my case, study part-time at the same time.
II. Cause and Effect of Unplanned Parenthood
In conclusion, whatever the causes and effects of unplanned parenthood are, it is best to consider the wellbeing of a future baby who are always the most defenseless of beings. They have to be loved at the start, that is, while they are still in the womb. The causes and effects of unplanned parenthood come and go, but a priceless baby is a life worth keeping. Hence, would-be parents should feel blessed that they were given a child to love and in turn, that they also be loved by them .someday.
