Both the features are Microsoft’s Web Apps require windows live ID, and Google requires a gmail id to access, edit documents. Microsoft online allows to use basic features of Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote and Word online.

Microsoft is bringing all the capabilities of its desktop version online. Google docs in comparison to Word has less features. Basic features like spell check and auto correct are present in both the tools.
