The theory that is mostly related to the issue in the article is the theory of functionalism. It is the interpretation of how parts of the society contribute to the stability of the whole community. In this case, volunteers who worked with the patients that could not be helped by the health care programs from the government contributed to the whole society by functioning aspects that was not given properly by the government. Each part of the society has its own function and it was presented by the health care volunteers.
The issue of health care system problems is very important to the society. If the government fails to provide proper health care system, the poor people would suffer. It is best to understand that volunteers that provide health care to people are very important. It could save the society from problems related to health care system. Each part of the society should function properly. In this case, the volunteers provide the function that is should be given by the government.
