First, I would inform the people about this product. That is; I would make them aware of the product through channels such as personal selling, advertisements, and public selling. Costs of advertising will be anticipated here. Second, I would persuade these people by convincing them to buy the product. This purpose will encompass providing the specifics of the product in terms of its efficiency. I would employ channels such as capitalizing on the advantages of the product to reiterate on its efficiency. I would also convince these people by providing aspects such as discounts on a given number of products bought. I would also use tools such as the internet to research its demerits, but concentrate on how its merits outweigh these demerits. Costs of research are anticipated here.
Third, I would reinforce the use of the pedometer by reminding the people that it exists. The purpose of this promotion element is to make them develop a deeper awareness of the product. I would various channels such as collecting the emails of the interested individuals to send them reminders. I would also go in person to remind them. I am anticipating transportation costs.
Last, I would differentiate the product by providing these people with information concerning the position of the product as being different from the competition. To do so, I would use tools such as the company reports with information on other competing products such as flex wristbands and draw comparisons among these products dwelling on their advantages. As such, the differentiation will provide them with the opportunity to identify the effectiveness of the product as compared to others in the same market.
