The World War II had valuable effects on the United States as well as the other states involved, for example, it changed the United States greatly in that it pushed the Americans to accept the unique level of government control, restructured the roles of women, improved the industrial status of the nation as well as transformed the leadership level of the United States globally. However, World War II had a great effect on the domestic life of Americans by putting stop to the Great Depression which included the economic problems, decreasing the level of unemployment as well focused on the expansion of the industrial areas. The government of America invested a lot of money in order to raise the status of its economy.
Fortunately, the war created a great shortage on the organized labor due to the increased investment in the industrial areas by the government. Hence, elevated the demand for the laborers; thus, it forced the armed forces to employ many people, comprising of both men and women from the civilian workforce to the industrial sector. However, due to the high demand of laborers, it forced the women employed to separate from their children during the working hours, known as “eight-hour orphans”. In addition, the war also improved the living standard of many people in America due to the high level of investment as well as helped in lowering the female discrimination at the workplace. Inclusion, the minorities, for example, the immigrants, the teenage boys in America secured jobs to reduce the level of crime, and promoted the marriage rate leading to rising in population. Thus considered as the great postwar “baby boom,” hence World War II affected most people in a more profitable manner.
