Introduction

Childhood is the most intriguing and carefree phase of life and children explore and learn so many magnificent things to be remembered and cherished for the rest of life. But there is a big dilemma with many societies having rampant child labor trend. In the early years of life children should not be carrying bricks but books, should not be hemming football but playing around with it, should not be washing or sweeping classrooms but sitting inside and studying hard to become the bright future of nation. It is a born right of every child to have a cheerful and playful childhood so they could build a beautiful canvas of all the wonderful remembrances in their mind. It is the basic right of every child to be given a loving ambiance in which he/she could freely play, eat, sleep, and go to school and gradually passes every phase to his adulthood. But the irony of fate is about 168 million children around the globe are knotted in labor and these can be easily found laboring on several places such as workshops, factories, mines, construction sites ,drug trafficking, tobacco factories, and worst of all some are subjected to sexual assault. These misfortune children are never given a choice to live a life of their choice and are completely trapped. Another important factor is that the difference between male and female is very much pervasive and widespread which translates into males being considered as the powerful gender as compared to female hence male children are mostly found to be abused with child labor .

The Campaign

Following are the two core objectives of the campaign to end child labor: -

The campaign to reduce or eliminate child labor would consist of bringing awareness to the people as well as other stakeholder who are prospective agencies in ending child labor. This paper would first highlight the importance of ending child labor and then proceed to identifying the stakeholders to end child labor. Human rights campaigns succeed only when they are formed on the basis of political campaigns .
The studies and researches have revealed a very sad fact that every one in seven children is a labor worldwide. This estimated ratio gives the figure of 218 million children not going to school, rather working in different fields. These children works in underprivileged conditions and have little or no ray of hope to ever get out of their miserable living styles. The most common fields where these unfortunate children are commonly spotted are factories, stitching cloths and football, working in field picking coca and cotton, in homes, in mines and sometime used in war. Concerned authorities have now started to think it as an inappropriate and unacceptable act and have taken fruitful step to curtail child labor .
The first and foremost place for spreading awareness against child labor is school. Campaign would be launched to educate public about child labor and its lethal repercussions. This campaign would be launched in partnership with the organizations working in six of the European countries and have their active partners in Ghana, India and many other countries .
Child labor is a harsh reality for many children around the globe and it affects the society in general. It is a moral and social responsibility of every citizen to take effective measures in eliminating this obscenity. Big businesses, government, NGO’s, parents, communities, teachers, employers and trade unions can play a very successful role in curtailing child labor . Child labor is also a result of trafficking of children in various countries for the purpose of labor, or other abuses .
Through the endowment of permanent, quality training and decrease in worldwide demand for inexpensively manufactured products, the eradication of child labor is possible.
There are several issues ha pertain to child labor. Child labor has become a datum of lifetime for teenagers in several nations. It is not a felonious for, Asia, South America or Africa, it exists in most parts of the world. Child labor has been banned by international decree. All practices of labor imposed on children are objectionable. Child labor despoiled and refutes children of their privileges. Child labor cultivates and propagates poverty. The offence of child labor distresses every individual of the society.
Child labor is on the rise in countries involved in human trafficking and are widespread among other forms of abuses and exploitations . Eliminating child labor would depend on various key factors which would be included in the consideration for running the campaign. Free compulsory, quality education to age of at least 15 years is the key in prevention as well as elimination of the child labor is a major factor. The worldwide community has dedicated itself to achieving the Millennium Developing Goal for all children in the schools, in each country latest by 2015. The world NGOs work around world in the projects that are aimed at putting out-of-school children back to classroom as well as keeping them there.
The campaign would include bringing awareness of people towards the role of different stakeholders that are relevant to child labor. State and National Governments in countries having Child Labor must do all the efforts they can in order to eliminate it. Government sustenance for elementary education is one of various efforts in a country alongside creating official policies on elimination of child labor .
NGOs such as MV Foundation and UNICEF are the powerful advocates with the aim of protecting human rights including child labor. NGOs are perhaps the most active organizations throughout the world which are performing the task of protecting human rights and raising their voice on any violation of the human rights including child labor.
Groups Businesses are the ones which can play the significant role in safeguarding that stern labor standards have been prescribed on all the imported products that are sold pertaining to children. Corporate Social Responsibility is the main area in which the businesses may include plans to eliminate child labor .
People from all spheres of life can contribute in raising voice and carrying out workable plans to root out child labor trend. Every member of the society, could be a doctor , lawyer, a businessman, the family members, mentors, parents in short every individual of the society should work collectively to culminate child labor completely. Everybody must raise his voice against any child working to earn money while his education and other necessities are denied to him. They must bring awareness to the parents or guardian of the child who is seen to be abused with child labor. The overall society must reject the idea of child labor in order to play their role in eliminating child labor.
Young and energetic people can be very helpful in raising a voice against child labor and can bring a healthy change in the attitude. Different modes and institutes like schools, colleges, sports club, and youth club can play a pivotal role in bestowing solidarity and resilience for the victim of this curse present in any part of the world. Youth is the next generation which would be running all the governments and organizations in near future. They must be taught with all the human rights including child labor protection etc. They must be given due education on the adverse effects of child labor.
Many trade unions and associations are proactively raising voice against child labor and are carrying out effective plans to counsel and rehabilitate victims of child labor. Irish congress have been very protruding in emphasizing the subject of child labor.
The notorious and virtually active organizations should play their focal role in ensuring the human rights protection primarily of children. Organizations like ILO, IPECS, UNESCO and World Bank should vigorously keep a close check on the nominated organization on their progress and lined up plans to eliminate child labor.
People have responsibility as a citizen, consumer and have power to raise their voice to bring in positive in the society and hold concerned corporations, government and individual answerable. People should strive to change and make this world a better place to live and enjoy for children.

Conclusion

Child labor is a harsh reality for many children around the globe and it affects the society in general. It is a moral and social responsibility of every citizen to take effective measures in eliminating this obscenity. The campaign would be started from the schools through arranging sessions and the word would be spread through publishing articles in popular magazines and journals. The campaign would one by one address each and stakeholder as mentioned in this study in order to ensure that every effort is put into the same direction by these stakeholders. Such a combined effort can only result in helping to eliminated child labor throughout the world. He campaign would result in reducing child labor across the globe. There is a fair chance that the campaign would be more successful in some countries than the other depending on the psychological acceptance and moral values of the society.
