Previous Literature: Upon reviewing existing literature, I found that the number of sources available to support the research study is adequate.
Feasibility: Carrying out the research study is feasible due to existing literature on the topic from multiple contexts (i.e. local and international opportunities for and application of lifelong learning). Moreover, some universities and education centers in the United States offer lifelong learning programs. Hence, it is possible to consult with educators as well as lifelong learning students to determine how this program could or has addressed unemployment in any form.

Personal Interest: I am interested in this research topic because most studies were conducted in European countries. Focusing on the application of lifelong learning within the American context would present new perspectives on the topic.
Managing Diversity in the Classroom through Modern Day Desegregation
Previous Literature: Based on a quick search of resources on Google Scholar, there are enough sources to supplement and support the research study.
Feasibility: Conducting the research study is feasible not only because of the number of sources pointing out and criticizing segregation in 21st Century schools but also because one would be able to visit schools to understand the impact of segregation on students (i.e. dropout rates, achievement, student performance, attendance, etc.). Teachers and students would be able to provide perspective and talk about personal experiences concerning the issue.
Nature of Research: The research study is different from other studies because it will focus on problem-solving through policy development. Existing research studies merely prove that segregation still exists in 21st Century schools. The research study will focus on offering a solution or recommendation to address the problem.
Personal Interest: I am highly interested in the research study because it is aimed towards problem resolution, something that I am eager to accomplish in conducting research. I believe that it is highly important to determine or identify existing social problems and to use research to identify solutions to mitigate or prevent these problems’ social and economic impact.
Reducing the Impact of Urban Development on the Environment
Previous Literature: Google Scholar search results reveal adequate number of sources to supplement research data and support the discussion.
Feasibility: Conducting this research is feasible because many cases abound revealing the impact of urban development on the environment. Moreover, several case studies show not only the impact of urban development but also the successful and unsuccessful policies implemented to maintain environmental sustainability.
Nature of Research: The research differs from other research studies because it would be a comparative case study on policies for environmental sustainability implemented by different cities to address urban development.
Personal Interest: I am interested in the issue because I am genuinely concerned about sustainability. I strongly support environmental sustainability advocacies, and would therefore be highly motivated to conduct research about the topic.
