Introduction

Marketing is a strategy used in communicating the values of different products, brands or services to the intended and prospective customers (Doole & Lolwe, 2008). By communicating the values of the products, services or brands; the marketer purposely promotes the item that is marketed which eventually leads to sales. There are a number of marketing techniques that must be employed by the marketers in a number of ways. Either, the marketer must apparently choose his target market then segment it so as to understand the various market dynamics at play. Among the issues to understand through market segmentation is customer behaviors that will determine the actual marketing strategy to employ.
This paper discusses direct selling which is a marketing strategy used to sell products to customers on a one on one basis (Paley, 2007). In marketing the smart phones within the UK markets, websites, leaflets and one on one selling will be used. The one on one selling will be relied on more than the others since it gives the surety that the targeted customer receives the intended information about the Smartphone products. One on one selling strategy will also help in demonstrating the unique features of the smart phones to the customers. This approach is helpful in increasing sales whenever the market dynamics are not favorable to the marketers.
Social media sites will also be used in marketing the smart phones products with various pictures uploaded so that the customers can easily identify the unique features being sold (Viardot, 2004). Brief descriptions of the particular functionalities of the phones will also be uploaded to guide the customers through the process of product selection. The phones to be marketed have unique features ranging from two sets of different attachments that can be clipped, mounted or used in the lever form. There is an extension cable that is attached which can support quite a number of phones at the same time. There are other unique features that will be discussed here in the paper. One on one direct selling strategy is critical for the success of marketing the smart phones for a number of reasons.
One on one direct selling will help in the determination of how frequent the customers purchase the product (Doyle, 2008). This will give vital information that helps in modifying the selling strategy. It also provides an opportunity to interact with customers that further helps in the identification of prospective markets and customers that require more attention. Either, through one on one direct selling method the marketer will be in a position to determine whether the client needs an order that is specific. This strategy further enhances the customer loyalty to the product which can stimulate repeated purchases from satisfied clients. One on one direct selling, therefore, come in handy since it proves to be the effective method of marketing the smart phones.

Conclusion

In concluding, therefore, one on one direct selling as a method of marketing the smart phones within the UK markets has a number of advantages making it the most appropriate strategy to use. The most notable advantage it has over other strategies is that it gives a direct contact with the customer which makes the marketer in a better position to answer queries that require detailed information. This leaves the customers more satisfied as opposed to other strategies that only gives the customers summary details of the products. It also gives the marketer an opportunity actually to demonstrate to the customers how the product features works which further boosts the confidence that the customers have on the promoted product. Direct selling will thus assist in marketing the smart phones to the UK pubic.
