According to the OSHA standards and requirements, it is the duty of the employees to ensure that their workplaces are safe. You department plays a critical role to ensure that the firm meets the OSHA standards. I have two issues that may be of concern to everyone. I have noted that the emergency doors remains closed all the time we are working. There is nobody with the key to the emergency doors within our departments. Therefore, in the event of a disaster requiring an emergency exist, there could be a challenge. The keys to all emergency doors need to be in the vicinity of everyone or within reach of particular people. Such came to my attention when there was a fire scare last week.
Secondly, the quality of lighting has depreciated significantly. I suggest that the company reevaluates its lighting especially in the major halls. I hope these matters are pertinent to all of us. Thank you.
