All citizens in the United States have an obligation to work hard in order to obtain a living and contribute to the achievement of the American dream. While we seek a country that has a level ground for all, it is pertinent to realize that culture and knowledge are central to the social status of people in American. In a diverse society, it is only fair that the rich do not suppress the poor but provide them jobs to allow them educate their children and obtain a living. Not all jobs fit everybody not because of their social class but because of the differences in skills required to perform certain tasks. As such, when individuals are hired to perform lower level jobs it is not a form of slavery but a best fit of their skills. Naturally, some individuals become prestigious and may not do certain jobs because roles change as one moves along the social ladder; thus, they let other people do the jobs they may not have time to perform. Is it possible for everybody regardless of skills to perform prestigious jobs and yet we get the economy thriving?

We have a responsibility to work and meet our jobs obligations no matter what religious beliefs we hold. In fact, it is not possible to institutionalize religious ideals of morality because this will lead to inequality where other religious will be overlooked. In essence, if someone has a religious hindrance to performing the tasks of a job and then religious freedom demands that he or she do not need to accept or take that job. Precisely, we cannot take jobs because we have a right to and refuse to perform our duties without being subject to consequences. Pertinently, organizations such as OSHA should limit themselves to championing for a conducive environment in the workplace but should legislate against harmful actions and leave alone religion. If we give people freedom to abscond duty because of moral and religious grounds, where will it end?
