Psychological Application: My nephew acts of presenting the events and other scenes in his surrounding through drawings illustrate a concept of the VARK model. The VARK model is a learning style model that was developed by Fleming in 1987. According to Fleming, there are four types of learners and these include visual, auditor, reading and kinesthetic learners. However, my nephew belongs to the visual learners. The visual learners understand things or concepts through seeing. They are keen on visual objects such as pictures and illustrations. Unlike other people who prefer written form, visual learners like integrating ideas or concepts presented in a visual form. Therefore, my nephew perfectly fits in this category of learners.

Observation 2
Psychological Application: The new member’s action represents a psychological concept called actor- observer bias. Actor-observer bias is a psychological behavior where people tend to attribute their deeds to external forces while, attributing other people’s actions to their internal issues. Normally, actor-observer bias tends to make people shift the blame or disassociate with a problem that affects the majority. Many psychology studies indicate that people are highly susceptible to the actor-observer bias when they are close to people they occasionally hang out with such as friends. According to studies, the actor-observer bias is highly likely to arise around close people because of the understanding of their thoughts and needs. People tend to show these characteristics around well-known people, and this confirms why the new member shifted the blame on the classmates.
