Boing:
This company was founded on July 15,1916 by William E. Boing. Initially it was known as "Pacific Aero Products Co", but nowadays, Boeing is Multinational Corporation, which plays a key role among the aircraft manufacturers of the world. Beside airplane production, Boeing is active in designing and manufacturing satellites, rockets, and rotorcrafts. The divisions of Boeing are; Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS), Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) , Operations & Technology , Engineering; Boeing Capital; and Boeing Shared Services Group. It should be mentioned that based on 2013 revenues, Boeing is the largest exporter of the united states and is the world’s second largest contractor of the defense field, and in the same year recorded $86.623 billion in sales.
Northrop Grumman:
It was founded in 1994 and after merging of the Northrop Group and Grumman, and nowadays is active in defense technology and aerospace. In 2015, Northrop Grumman became the fifth largest global defense contractor. Before that and in 2012 the Northrop Grumman reported a $25.218 billion revenue while it has 68,000 people employees worldwide and ranked as one of the top ten military-friendly employers. In 2011 and according to Fortune 500, the Northrop Grumman was ranked 72nd in the list of America’s largest corporations.
Raytheon
Raytheon is also a major defense contractor. The Raytheon industrial corporation mainly concentrates on production of weapons and electronics for military and commercial purposes, in fact in production of guided missiles; Raytheon is the largest producer in the world. Raytheon employs approximately 63000 people around the world and it’s annual revenues is around $25 billion, however approximately 90% of it’s revenues comes from military contracts and thus in 2012 became the world’s fifth-largest military contractor, and the fourth biggest contractor inside United States.
